Enjoy an eagle-eyed view of the beautiful landscapes and scenery so unique to Namibia. During the journey, guests will explore this beautiful country while visiting memorable places like Damaraland, Etosha National Park, Swakopmund and Sossusvlei. Typical African savannah is part of the scenery, but famous lands such as the Etosha National Park, a combination of saline desert, savannah and woodlands, will surprise you. You will have the opportunity to discover the beauty of the Sesriem Canyon, a natural canyon in the oldest desert in the world, the Namib Desert and the colours of Sossusvlei, a dune wonderland of pale apricot to vivid red and orange tints. Tour includes visit of Swakopmund, where the German colonial character has been preserved since its foundation in 1892.
Meet and greet with your transfer service and drive to the Eros Airport in Windhoek. At the Eros Airport you will meet your pilot (or if you have arrived a day earlier, you will receive a transfer from your hotel in Windhoek to the Eros Airport). Fly to Etosha National Park. Arrive at the lodge and rest of the afternoon is at your leisure. Optionally, you can book a game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle into Etosha.
Today you will spent the whole day in Etosha National Park with game viewing from a 4x4 safari vehicle. At lunchtime, return to the lodge for a short siesta before commencing on an afternoon game drive into the park. See vast herds of game with the eerie “great white place of dry water” as a backdrop which makes the Etosha experience unique. A total of 114 mammal species are found in the park, including several rare and endangered, such as black rhino and black-faced impala. About 340 bird species occur in the park, of which approximately one third are migratory, including the European bee-eater and several species of waders.
After breakfast, fly into Damaraland. Arrival to hotel and check-in. Afternoon excursion to Twyfelfontein, which is a World Heritage Site. Guided walk to the famous Bushmen engravings. Twyfelfontein, meaning ‘doubtful fountain,’ which lies to the west of Khorixas, resembles a large, open-air art gallery. This treasure house of rock engravings left by stone-age artists is regarded as one of the richest collections in Africa.
Breakfast is served on the deck with a view over a beautiful, almost unreal landscape. Afterwards, transfer to airstrip and take a flight to Swakopmund. Swakopmund is much-loved by Namibians as a welcome respite from the inland heat. It is also popular amongst visitors because of its old-world charm and relaxed atmosphere.
After an early breakfast, transfer to Walvis Bay where you will enjoy a boat cruise in the Walvis Bay Lagoon. A four-hour-long boat cruise in the lagoon of Walvis Bay will take you into another world. Some pelicans and flamingos might be spotted. Regularly, dolphins and seals swim alongside the boat, with the possibility of one or two seals jumping into the boat wanting to be fed. Lunch with snacks, oysters and champagne will be served in the lagoon. After lunch, return to Swakopmund. You can enjoy the rest of the day at leisure in this beautiful coastal town.
After breakfast, fly in to the Sossusvlei region. After, transfer to the lodge and check in, you can spend today at leisure. Perhaps relax at the swimming pool with a view over the Namib Desert.
Today you will visit Sossusvlei per guided 4x4 excursion. During a good rainy season in Sossusvlei, the Tsauchab River flows into the pan which creates a heaven for water birds. Even during the dry season, oryx, springbok and ostriches can be seen feeding off the sparse vegetation along the water course. After you have climbed one of the highest sand dunes in the world, we drive back to the lodge.
After breakfast, fly back to the Eros Airport where you will receive a transfer to the International Airport for your flight departure.
